Thanking a government employee!
This newsletter, I want to thank Munevver (Vera) Ertem who is the Tree Management Branch Manager at the Urban Forestry Division within the District Department of Transportation. She has been incredibly responsive to any concerns about the trees in our neighborhood, from constituents who want her to monitor potentially sick trees, to helping clear up debris from fallen trees. She also supported the community immensely by carefully monitoring trees through the Hearst Park and Pool construction. She is one of my favorite employees, and if you would like to send an email of thanks, please email her at munevver.ertem@dc.gov
