Welcome to my fifteenth Newsletter!
Keeping you updated on what’s happening in the neighborhood
I hope to use this email newsletter as a way to keep everyone updated on what’s happening in the neighborhood. I promise not to spam you all and would love feedback on what to include!
Tregaron Unplugged this Saturday (or Sunday, if it looks like rain on Sat. afternoon)
Our very own Tregaron Conservancy is hosting Tregaron Unplugged this Saturday! It’s a wonderful event that brings together talented local musicians and nature enthusiasts for an intimate, unplugged experience of chamber music, contemporary folk, opera, and jazz.
Advocate for road safety on Reno Rd.NW/34th St NW at Next Transportation Committee Meeting
Our ANC and community has been working for a long time for road safety on Reno Rd.NW/34th St NW. The road has schools, inadequate sidewalks, speeding drivers, and dangerous intersections. At our last transportation committee meeting, we discussed ideas to pursue this in a holistic way. We’ve started a document with ideas which you should feel free to add to or comment on, and please email me (3C05@anc.dc.gov) and/or Commissioner Nash (3C08@anc.dc.gov) with your comments as well. We’ll be finalizing this at our next transportation committee meeting on Wednesday with ideas that we can pursue.
Private Side Lead Replacement Resource
For residents with lead pipe on private property and non-lead pipe in public space the Lead Pipe Replacement Assistance Program (LPRAP) uses District funds to provide a free or discounted replacement. We have added it to the resources page on our ANC 3C website where you can find other answers too!
Thanking a super constituent!
A lot of the work I do cannot happen without the support of you all who point out issues to me. This week, I want to thank Elizabeth Ferenczi, who has contributed to our neighborhood in many ways, but one way this week was her pointing out the Private Side Lead Replacement resource I mentioned above. She’s also a super 311 reporter, and is responsible for helping us with better lighting, cleaner playgrounds, and extra trash cans. Thank you Elizabeth, and for others who want to join the super 311 crew, it’s very easy to report anything online or via the mobile app.
